What is a full-page screenshot?
A full-page screenshot captures the entire scrollable height of a webpage as one tall image — header, body, and footer included — not just the part that fits in the browser viewport. Imagy can also capture just the viewport if you turn the Full page toggle off, which is useful for hero or above-the-fold shots.
Which output formats can I export to?
You can save the screenshot as PNG, JPG, WebP, or PDF. PNG is the default and best for crisp UI captures. JPG produces smaller files for photo-heavy pages. WebP is the most modern and compact option for the web. PDF is ideal for archiving long pages, sending to print, or saving a multi-page document of the site.
Can I take screenshots at desktop, tablet, and mobile sizes?
Yes. Yes. The Scale option lets you render at 1x (standard), 2x (Retina), or 3x (Hi-DPI). Higher scales produce sharper, larger images at proportionally bigger pixel dimensions — perfect for marketing assets, app store screenshots, and any output you'll display on high-resolution screens.
Can I save a webpage as a PDF?
Yes. Pick PDF as the output format and choose paper size (A4, A3, A5, Letter, or Legal), portrait or landscape orientation, and whether to include CSS background colors. Imagy converts the whole page into a paginated, print-ready PDF.
How many screenshots can I take for free?
Free users get 10 screenshots per day, shared across both single and batch captures. The quota resets every UTC day. Imagy Pro removes the limit — you can take effectively unlimited screenshots and PDFs.
Does it work for pages behind a login or paywall?
No — captures run anonymously from our server, so any page that needs a login, cookies, or a paid subscription will be captured in its logged-out state. Public URLs work great.
What about lazy-loaded images, animations, and dynamic content?
Imagy waits for the page network to settle before capturing, so most lazy-loaded images, fonts, and async content come through. Heavy animations or content that only loads after user interaction may still be missing.
Is my URL and screenshot kept private?
Captures are stored briefly so you can download them. Anonymous screenshots are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you're signed in, your screenshots are saved to a Screenshots folder in My Files and stay there until you delete them.
