What's the difference between rectangle and circle crops?
Rectangle crops maintain sharp corners, while circle crops create a circular or oval shape. Circle crops will have transparent or colored backgrounds in the corner areas, depending on your background settings.
Can I crop by aspect ratio or exact pixels?
Yes! You can choose between aspect ratio mode (like 16:9 or 1:1) or pixel mode where you specify exact width and height. There's also a freehand mode for complete flexibility.
Can I crop images without losing quality?
Yes, when cropping, the tool maintains the original image quality. If you enable 'Resize to exact dimensions', the image may be resized which could affect quality, but cropping itself preserves quality.
What happens to animated GIFs when I crop them?
Animated GIFs and APNG files maintain their animation when cropped. The tool preserves all frames and animation timing.
Can I crop outside the image boundaries?
Yes, you can enable 'Allow crop outside image' in the settings. Areas outside the image will be transparent (for PNG/WebP) or filled with your selected background color (for JPG or when background is set to color).
