Frequently Asked Questions
What does the perspective tool do?
It changes the perspective of an image using a projective (homography) transform. In Correct mode it straightens a skewed quadrilateral — like a document, whiteboard, or building photographed at an angle — back into a clean rectangle. In Distort mode it warps a flat image into a tilted 3D look.
What is the difference between Correct and Distort mode?
In Correct mode you place the four handles on the corners of a slanted object in the photo, and the tool un-warps that region into a straight rectangle. In Distort mode the four handles are the image's own corners, and dragging them tilts and skews the whole image, with the empty areas filled by your chosen background.
How do I straighten a photo of a document?
Switch to Correct mode and drag each of the four corner handles onto the corresponding corner of the document in the photo. When you download, the selected area is straightened into a rectangle with the perspective removed.
What happens to the empty areas after warping?
When a warp exposes areas outside the original image, they are filled with the background you choose — transparent by default (for PNG, WebP, and AVIF), or a solid color. Because JPEG has no transparency, exposed areas are filled with white (or your chosen color) automatically.
Can I apply the same perspective to multiple images?
Yes. Upload several images, set the corners on one, then use Apply to all to copy that quadrilateral proportionally to every image. You can still fine-tune each image individually before downloading them together as a ZIP.
What image formats are supported?
You can change the perspective of images in AVIF, Animated PNG (APNG), BMP, GIF, HEIC/HEIF, ICO (Icon), JPE, JPG, JPG (JPEG), MP4 (Video), PBM, PGM, PNG, PNG 24-bit, PNG 32-bit, PNG 8-bit, PNM, PPM, PSD, RAW formats (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, ORF, RAF, etc.), SVG, TGA (Targa), TIFF, WebP, XCF. Output formats include AVIF, BMP, GIF, JPG (JPEG), PNG, SVG, TIFF, WebP.
Are my photos safe?
Absolutely! All processing happens locally in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to any server — they stay completely private on your device.
Is there a file size or quantity limit?
No, there are no file size or quantity restrictions. All processing happens locally in your browser, so larger files or batches may take longer depending on your device's performance.
